Research Project
posted by Research Admin on 15 October 2010
Description
This is a framework for Physical Activity and Nutrition (PAN) intiatives. 'PAN' Auckland also refers to greater Auckland. The '2010' identifies the timeframe for the plan.
The framework is for implementing the Healthy Eating Healthy Action strategy (HEHA) in the Auckland region. This complements the leadership for HEHA from within each District Health Board.
This is a three-year plan for the Ministry of Health Auckland office activities, developed from stakeholder discussions across the sector.
It is also to influence the approaches taken by other planning/funding organisations (such as DHBs, SPARC, MOE) and by providers to achieve improved metro-wide alignment of nutrition and physical activity services.
