Abstract
Synergia Ltd worked with the Ministry of Health and the three Auckland metropolitan DHBs to develop the Auckland Metro HEHA Implementation Strategy 2007-10. The first phase was a wide ranging analysis designed to support the development of the strategy. From this first phase a draft set of proposals were prepared for stakeholder discussion and feedback. These proposals were endorsed in a series of stakeholder forums conducted in late October and November 2006. Underlying the draft proposals is an approach that seeks to build from collective strengths in the region, provide an outcomes focus and delivers an environment that will lead to improved collective performance and ongoing learning. This paper sets clear priorities for action in the metro region, and details objectives and indicators under each of the nine priority areas.
