POInz Study (prevention of overweight in Infancy)
Project
posted by Barry J Taylor on 11 June 2011
Description
A randomised controlled trial using 4 arms – a sleep intervention, a FAB (food activity and breast feeding support) arm and a combination arm all compared with usual well child care. The intervention starts in mid pregnancy and goes till the child is 2 years old. We hope to have long term followup till 7 years.
What Worked Well
A complex study where recruitment has worked well from all families booking into our main obstetric hospital for delivery of a baby. Collaboration with the hospital has been excellent.
