The Health Promotion Agency offers Active Healthy Strong Community Partnerships of up to $5,000 to support community-led initiatives that encourage families and whānau to be active.
They have produced some profiles of community partnerships funded in 2014/15 and 2013/14. These profiles showcase how community groups encouraged local families to be more active.
"Getting young mums active, finding out about local health services and having opportunities to get out of the house and socialise were just some of the aims of Walk It Out. This project was run by the Hutt City Council in partnership with the local community".
