Effects of intentional weight loss in patients with obesity and heart failure: A systematic review
posted by WM Admin on 15 August 2018
The authors reviewed the evidence for outcomes following intentional weight loss in patients with heart failure and obesity.
Four randomised controlled trials and seven observational studies were included. The authors conclude from their analysis that "weight loss is achievable with lifestyle intervention in those with heart failure and obesity and may result in improvements in New York Heart Association classification, quality of life and exercise capacity".
