The 5+ A Day Charitable Trust commissioned Quigley and Watts Ltd to conduct an independent evaluation of Fruit in Schools, a Ministry of Health funded initiative which supplies a piece of fresh produce to children in low decile schools. The purpose of the evaluation was to continue to explore and document the effectiveness and value of the Fruit in Schools initiative. The recommendations were that Fruit in Schools be continued and that consideration be given to its expansion in schools.
