This study is concerned with school ground greening (SGG), a term used for the improvement of school grounds with landscape design interventions. There has been a resurgence of SGG projects in recent years due to concerns including child obesity, a lack of physical activity and a lack of understanding of where food comes from. The author conducted research with students from a west Auckland School who worked with the author to develop a greening plan for part of their school grounds.
