The authors outline the rationale behind, and key components of, the Mana Tū programme. Mana Tū is a Māori-lead programme that supports people with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes. It aims to address health and social barriers that can prevent people from living well with their condition. Data on the effectiveness of Mana Tū will be collected and analysed over the next two years.
