posted by Research Admin on 13 December 2018
This Sport England report summarises the activity level of children in England from September 2017-July 2018. The survey is the largest of its kind in England. Four levels of activity are presented - active every day, active across the week, fairly active, and less active. The activity levels are examined by age, gender, family affluence, disability, and ethnicity. Types of activity, volunteering and mental wellbeing are among other areas explored in the report. Key findings include that 17.5% of children and young people are active every day, taking part in sport and physical activity for at least 60 minutes every day, and 32.9% are less active, doing fewer than 30 minutes of physical activity a day.
