Addressing health inequity for tāne Māori (Wellington) on 29 April 2019
posted by Research Admin on 13 December 2018
This workshop, held at PHARMAC in Wellington, will address the inequalities and inequity through engagement initiatives that are used in a Maori men’s health and wellbeing programme called Tane Takitu Ake based in Rotorua.
Presenters from the Tane Takitu Ake programme will cover Whanau (family health), tinana (physical health), hinegaro (mental health) and wairua (spiritual health) so that they realise and optimise their role in their whanau and the community. The workshop will also cover mental health, diabetes, exercise and challenges from a practical perspective when engaging Maori men for a CVRA.
