Healthier Lives research prioritisation workshop (Wellington) on 22 March 2019
posted by Research Admin on 13 December 2018
Healthier Lives is holding a focussed workshop of researchers and policy makers to scope and prioritise the most important research topics and questions for New Zealand.
Healthier Lives has set aside $3.8 million over 5 years (2019–2024) for research on healthy food and physical activity environments to examine how the world in which we live influences what we eat and how active we are, and how we might change food and physical activity environments to:
- reduce the overall burden of NCDs in New Zealand, particularly related to our target diseases (obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease), and
- increase equitable health outcomes.
The deadline for expressions of interest from researchers is Friday 25 January 2019.
