Cognitive Restriction Accentuates the Increased Energy Intake Response to a 10-Month Multidisciplinary Weight Loss Program in Adolescents With Obesity

This study, involving 35 adolescents with obesity, aimed to evaluate their eating behaviour in a residential situation to assess responses to multidisciplinary weight reduction strategies. The researchers conclude that cognitively restrained eaters tended to lose less body weight than their unrestrained counterparts, which may offer a useful screening tool for agencies targeting youth.
