An evaluation of mainstream type 2 diabetes educational programmes in relation to the needs of people with intellectual disabilities: A systematic review of the literature

This review explores the limited information available to assess self-management and risk reduction programmes targeting those with intellectual disabilities. The authors conclude that, while further trials need to be developed and assessed, their impact may be more successful with younger people and implemented in educational settings.
