A systematic review of obesity interventions targeting anthropometric changes in youth with intellectual disabilities

Targeting the prevalence of obesity in young people with intellectual disabilities, this review assesses knowledge gleaned in relation to interventions. Most positive outcomes were achieved by those involving physical activity. However, "Weaknesses of the reviewed studies and inconclusive evidence indicate the need for additional research to gauge the effectiveness of interventions to treat obesity among youth with intellectual disabilities."
