FIFTY YEARS ON INSULIN
posted by Research Admin 1 on 17 July 2019
Diabetes NZ has a very special award, the Sir Charles Burns Memorial Award, which is reserved for those who successfully manage and live a full life on insulin for 50 years or more.
Late in June, Heather Verry, Chief Executive, had the pleasure of awarding our most recent award recipientTrevor Gollins, who celebrated the occasion with his family.
Trevor, is very familiar with Diabetes NZ and the award, as he dedicated over 16 years of his time to Diabetes NZ serving as the President from 1967 to 1984.
