We've recently completed a contestable process with RSTs [Regional Sports Trusts] who are not part of the initial Healthy Active Learning roll-out. The RSTs successful in the process will run a 12-month pilot through Regional Active Recreation Advisors. The objective of these roles is to:
- Better understand the regional active recreation opportunities for rangatahi,
- Map the regional stakeholders and help build capability in the co-design of offerings that better meet the needs of rangatahi.
The two RSTs who have been selected for this pilot provide a different focus with Sport Hawke’s Bay (urban lower-socio economic communities) and Sport Tasman (outdoor recreation) both being selected.
