An integrated conceptual model of environmental needs for New Zealand children's active travel to school

This study examines the factors inhibiting children's active transport to school. They found the key factors to be distance and child safety concerns and propose overcoming these by more supportive community and school input and a commitment across sectors with strategic resourcing and national targets in place.
