Preferences for Sweet and Fatty Taste in Children and Their Mothers in Association with Weight Status

This research explores the association between mothers' and their children's taste preferences and propensity for obesity. They found that preferring sweet foods, in particular, was directly associated with the likelihood of over weight or obesity status in both mothers and their children, while preferring fatty tastes was variable.
