This research evaluates recipients perceptions of the usefulness of the Healthy Steps intervention and pedometer-based Green Prescription in supporting them to be more physically active. Results indicate that the Green Prescription method of GP consultations and telephone counselling support were received favourably by those in need of motivation, as well as the pedometer. However, written material was less well received.
